The Age Music Victoria Awards 2014 – SOLD OUT!!!
The Age Music Victoria Awards show featuring Daddy Cool’s induction to the Hall of Fame is now sold out.
Music Victoria CEO Patrick Donovan said, “We’re thrilled that the awards have sold out so quickly, but not surprised. We’re as excited about seeing Daddy Cool reunite for the awards as anyone else and can’t wait to see them on November 19! We’ve got a few other treats in store on the night that are yet to be announced.”
The Age Shortlist Editor Martin Boulton said the ninth year of the awards promised to be the highlight of this year’s Melbourne Music Week. “How cool to have Daddy Cool playing. Music fans can start voting in The Age Music Victoria Awards from mid-October, and keep an eye on The Age to win double passes to this sold out show.”
The remaining options available for fans to secure some tickets are through giveaways through Presenting Partner Triple R, and Age Shortlist readers who vote in the online poll.

The awards night will kick off at 8.30pm with MC Henry Wagons, and special guests including Russell Morris, Stonefield, and Jess Cornelius (Teeth & Tongue) performing with musical director Pete Luscombe (RocKwiz) with the EG Allstars. Davey Lane will also perform a Jim Keays tribute and the evening will conclude with Daddy Cool’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony and concert.
The publicly voted The Age Music Victoria Awards presentations will precede the concert this year. Pioneer rock music journalist Ed Nimmervoll will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Awards, which are the largest publicly voted awards in Australia with an average of 80,000 votes.
This year the Awards introduce new major partner is ALH Group’s Live At Your Local, while SAE Institute remains the Education Partner, and Triple R 102.7FM remains the Presenting Partner.
The Age Music Victoria Awards 2014 will be held during Melbourne Music Week on Wednesday 19th November at 170 Russell (formerly Billboard) from 8.30pm – 11.00pm.
The Awards continue their long association with the musicians’ charity Support Act Limited, donating $5 from each ticket to the organisation.
