Suitable Transport is a simple project to demonstrate the ecological benefits of electric bicycles. To help spread this message across Australia, Stephen Gale will ride an electric bike from Melbourne to Sydney over eight days while wearing a business suit. Stephen will be joined for his ride by representatives from: Australian Red Cross Blood Service, Golder Associates, GP Graders, Intersect Alliance, MEL Australia,Trentwood, Pelican Expeditions, Phocas Software, Thank God You’re here, Urban Burger, Waste Converters, and Wildilock – all in corporate attire!

SUITABLE TRANSPORT LAUNCHES from Federation Square in Melbourne on Monday April 16th at midday. The expedition will be launched by the sounds of Kate Ceberano, Phil Ceberano & his band Trentwood – and some kind words from Aussie Rock legend turned MP Peter Garrett, Federal Shadow Minister for Climate Change, the Environment & Heritage.

You can find a specially recorded song – a teriffic version of War’s “Low Rider” from the mighty Bomba (with lead vocals by Michael Caruana) to support Suitable Transport at www.myspace.com/marksydowmanagement.
