Notification to the discerning music lover,

Dave Graney & Clare Moore will be playing songs from their new release “We Wuz Curious” at Basement Discs on Friday 22nd August from midday. You can check them out at the Basement as a trio ( with Lurid Yellow bass player Stu D) and hear them again with the full five piece band on Wednesday 27th August at the Northcote Social Club with special guest Henry Wagons.

Dave Graney is what’s known as a “heavy entertainer” (as opposed to light) and his music is rich (as opposed to poor) and his flight plan involves the clouds (as opposed to worrying around at the roots). Dave Graney is coming to the NSC for a very special night of entertainment to mark the beginning of his extensive tour with Henry Wagons. Accompanying him tonight will the Lurid Yellow Mist, a band of rare expertise. Henry Wagons will enthral his audiences while performing his daring stories laden with wry contradictions; mixing humour with pathos, tragedy with hope and irony with sincerity. Henry is sure to impress with his voice of depth inspired by the drunk, dead-dog, haunted-house, family curse side of the country genre.
